Spotibot can now use your last.fm profile to create a personalised playlist. You can either generate a playlist based on your last.fm recommendations, a playlist made up of your 'loved' tracks, or a mix of both!
Based on your listening habits, Last.fm maintains a list of artists that you are likely to enjoy but haven't scrobbled much/at all.
Spotibot uses these to find tracks enabling you to sample your recommendations from a single playlist!
Note: if not enough of the recommended artists are found on Spotify, your playlist may be shorter than you have specified.
'Loved' tracks are tracks that you have specifically told Last.fm that you love, so Spotibot now lets you generate a playlist of stuff it knows you'll enjoy!
Some notes: If you generate a playlist shorter than the number of 'loved' tracks you have on last.fm, then a random selection will be returned. If you have fewer, then all the tracks found in Spotify will be returned in the order you 'loved' them.
This isn't intended for getting all your 'Loved' tracks into Spotify. If you would like a tool to do that, contact @asmitter.
If you tick both boxes, you will get a randomly selected mix of both tracks you love, and tracks recommended for you. The playlist should be about half-and-half, but if you don't have many 'Loved' tracks then more recommendations will be added.
As always, comments and suggestions are welcome. Either send them to Spotibot's twitter account, or contact @asmitter.
